Firth Reception

Our Firth Reception was originally supposed to be outside in my parents yard, but since it was October it ended up too cold so we moved it into the church. It think it still looked beautiful and it was all I could have imagined. Thank you to everyone who made it possible.

My sister-in-law, Amy found this cute suitcase and we used it to collect the cards people brought for us.
 The guestbook table.

 Amy put together the centerpieces.

My sister, Bethany, made this Grandma Peterson quilt for us. A few years ago I had gone through Grandma's fabric so she could make a quilt, but her health was not the best and she passed away a year before Tyler and I were married, so Bethany took the fabric and made this beautiful quilt.
I did this cross-stitch many years ago with the hope I would be able to display it at my wedding reception.
My Aunt Linda made our cake for us. She did a beautiful job and it turned out exactly how I had envisioned, better actually.

We had several fun food options. I had to have a nacho bar because I love nachos.

Then we had several sweet breads to choose from.

And of course, I couldn't marry and Utah State Alumnus without offering some Aggie ice cream with some toppings.
My brother, Derek, holding my niece, Emily.
My sister-in-law, Michelle painted this bookcase for us to use. It was a very nice touch.
Our guests sure enjoyed the refreshments.

 The picture display.

Our guests.

Amy made this cute sign for us to use. It added just the right touch of rustic/vintage.

The bouquet toss. My dress hampered my throwing abilities but someone was still able to catch it.

I was able to see so many friends there. I was so grateful for the support they showed.
My brother, Karlton and his wife, Michelle, sang a few songs for us.
The kids decided it was more fun to play on the exercise balls on the stage.
Cutting the cake. This was fun, though everyone said we did it wrong because we did not feed each other the cake at the same time. And Lindsey, Tyler's sister-in-law, thought we needed to redo it since we didn't shove the cake in each other's faces. But I had told Tyler in no uncertain terms that if he did that to me he would be in big trouble.

My bouquet. I picked out the flowers, then Sylina had a family friend put it together for me. It turned out absolutely beautiful.

 Tyler niece, Elsy.
The dance was another part of the reception that was non-negotiable. I loved dancing with my husband, even though my dress was so long I had to hold it up so I didn't trip on in.

I really enjoyed dancing with my dad and I was so grateful that he was willing to do it. He is one of my role models and I am so glad that he is my dad.
